I'm in. I'm going to start low and aim for 10 alcohol free days and then I'll build up over the next few months.

@Luna: sounds like a solid plan. Aiming too high would only lead to frustration and negative thoughts, I suppose :)

 

@Neverenough: I don't see why not :) There's almost always someone here to support you when you hit a rough patch.

Good luck everyone with your goals. I hope we can all take some good steps forward with this, this year.
I'm hoping to keep limiting alcohol as much as possible... Just gain a healthy relationship with it... Instead of "needing" it to ease anxiety/ for something to do at night etc... Looking for positive substitutes.

I'll start on an alcohol free Day (still sick)

I'm going completely booze free. I've gone a maximum of erm two weeks free before, so if I can do a whole month Id be happy.

I'm just not trying hard enough. I feel like there's no incentive to cut down... and I'm also in a 'fuck it' sort of mood. I will be getting my shit together for next week though.

 

It's 10pm and I have been distracting myself up until now with the show Intervention :rolleyes: . I will allow 1 for tonight.

Had dinner with my uncles family... I had a couple of glasses of wine with that. It was actually a really nice evening. There was the opportunity to drink more, but I didn't feel I needed to. I was just able to enjoy the couple I had and felt so welcomed in their company. Such a nice change...
(I wish my actual family could be as welcoming and kind)

2.2 drinks. I decided not to have another.

 

I'd really like to get a diary to record each day for the year. No more than an average of 8 per week
