I am so proud of you / happy for you... don't know what the appropriate expression is. I definitely don't mean to sound patronizing but I just really want to squeeze you and take some of your magical power :P

It's time to take care of nook now" (my name is spelled differently but it is pronounced as your username :))

That's the most important thing you can do right now. You are precious and deserve your care more than any thing ((hugs)) (and I must get around to your pm... Just haven't been in the space to dedicate the time it deserves :P)

I didn't have any alcohol since last night and it has been really hard on my body. I feel weird, weak, and sick..

Thanks to both of you  :D
Even though abusing alcohol is not what I was meant to be doing in the first place, I still finally feel like I have achieved something which has helped to boost my overall confidence and now I feel more able to tackle over things.

Don't give up, keep trying!

^ I wish you a happy alcohol free weekend then :) It's good that you're calling it an early night. When it comes to B/P and alcohol I find that it's the nighttime that gets you.

I already bought vodka and drank some.

Hmz, let's see

I spread a secret last night

I fell out of bed and now my ass hurts like F#ck

I am still wearing last night's clothes

I am due at the hair dresser's in 12 minutes but no way that's going to fly

...but at least I got a break from being me.

Passed the halfway mark, day 13 is almost over. It's tempting, but easy to avoid.

I've lost track of alcohol intake this month but I'm reading and rooting for everything.

Sending hugs.

^ Hugs back Luna.

I am spending a few nights at my aunt and uncles' house who have a strict no alcohol policy since their daughter got way beyond wasted at a party some time ago. There simply isn't any in the house, not even for themselves. Because they welcome me with open arms I didn't want to bring any alcohol into the house. Besides, they probably would have smelled it on or noticed that I was tipsy before I myself would start to notice. They're giving me a lot of freedom but interfering with their parenting would be one step too far - and I'd say I'd agree.

So, I know what has been said about going cold turkey and I took your words to heart but for as long as I stay here I can't drink. Mentally I'm fine by that, physically I had slight withdrawal symptoms but now it's morning and I feel fine, no symptoms. I'm thinking about a walk to keep my system going, maybe it's a bullshit idea but at least I'll feel like I'm doing something.I just hope I can catch a moment in between the heavy rain that is predicted for today.

^ see it as your reward for having kicked ass this month :)

What are your goals for after x-mass, or is that something you don't want to think about yet?

I am determined to make it to day 3 alcohol free

Thanks, it totally will be!

I will let myself have what I want at least over xmas. I'm not sure how difficult it will be after that, so I will set some new goals depending on that.. but I'm not quite there yet. :)

Great job reaching day 2!  :)

You were spot on congratulating me on reaching day 2 because I gave in shortly after coming home. I am not drinking that much, nor do I intend to. It's just...fuckit.

You are going strong letsholdhands. I hope Christmas is not too difficult and you are able to look after yourself during it and afterwards
...

The last couple of days have been tough for me. My anxiety was already skyrocketing on monday, then I was in the city as a siege was kicking off (about 500m away, so it was all a bit scary). Yesterday was quite sombre in the city. But it was heart warming to see people uniting together and showing respect etc.

Anyway... Ended up drinking the last couple of days. 2 drinks on mon, 4 on Thurs.
