As with the Anxiety section, I wanted to continue the positive counterpart to "What's making you sad?" - this time credits go out to sariefariee

On topic:

Elderly women to swim with - and their infinite wisdom;

My flatmate scaring me by knocking on my window from the balcony-side, then giving me the cutest smile and thumbs up;

Taking OK-to-great care of myself :mellow:  (it's also making me feel awkward).

Trying to stay sane is like a full-time hobby

This really old man got on the bus and a younger guy was going to get up and give him his seat but then the old man realised there was a spare seat on the other side he could have. But how big he grinned at this young guy and how genuine his smile and appreciation was put a giant smile on my face in a split second. It was a had to be there moment but it was precious.

The elderly ladies at the swimming pool (again, I know). I only recently made my 'return' to the training pool and they have already welcomed me back into their fold... They all bothered to get to know my name and some details. They remember surprisingly much about me from last year's swimming lanes together. I'm embarrassed to admit they remember more about me than I recall about their lives.... Ah well, makes it all the more heart-warming to find out they care(d) enough about me to keep me in mind. Aside from that deeper sense of being cared about we simply laughed loads :D

This hehe. Made me giggle just from sheer joy. A couple of years ago I did a water aerobics class and I was the only one under 60 (I was 24 at the time). All the women were SO lovely it gave me such a warm feeling just being there haha so I can imagine how you were feeling!

Seeing my 4-year-old niece and almost-2-year-old nephew - and their many giggles and smiles whilst I was with them.

I've been having a crap of a day but I just went to get blood taken and was the only one there. Poor fellow must have been bored out of his brain (4:45pm), but we had the best banter I've had in a bit and I think it cheered us both up :P

Knowing that my daughter had an awesome time today going to Wembley for the 1D concert. Even more so listening to her friend who has never attended a music concert before, never been anywhere like Wembley before, describe the experience after with such enthusiasm and excitement. She couldn't stop thanking me!  So yeah, knowing I made others very happy, made me happy.

Aahhww CJ, you sound like an amazing mother! :wub:

@Starlight: it's lifting my spirits too! I think my entire village needed this, badly, people were getting cranky and just not their *****erian selves ;)

So yeah, for me:

- Summer being summer;

- Excitement surrounding an upcoming outing;

- Feeling so blessed;

- Going inline skating (brought out the inner child, happy days version?).

[Technically yesterday but I haven't slept yet, so it doesn't really count as today yet anyways... :blink: ].

Friend bought me a new piercing and new jewelry (for piercings I hadn't had in for a while) for my birthday.

Also, seeing the above friend for a bit - talking and driving along with silly music.

Yay for inner child silliness!

I want to find my old roller skates now. And figure out somewhere I can skate. Where nobody can see my probable utter inability to do so at this point.  :ph34r:

eta: Just to clarify, I meant 'silliness' in a completely positive way.

I so needed to read this topic today.

1) I have to agree with others...wine.
2) Re-registering on here and getting back into it.
