*~* life asked death, "WHY DO PEOPLE LOVE ME BUT HATE YOU?" death responded, "BECAUSE YOU ARE A BEAUTIFUL LIE AND I AM A PAINFUL TRUTH" *~*

@MissMeyer: want to share what's on schedule for next week?

@snailonvalium: what's an OT? Whatever/whoever that is I sure hope it won't be half as scary as it seems now ^_^

@ GW-Project an OT is an occupational therapist, in this case its a woman who can help you um overcome things that cause anxiety?

^ Thanks for clarifying. Ofc you don't have to answer but is there a specific reason she's coming to your house? Like an in-real-time-real-life session to confront and overcome things that cause anxiety in your home?

No, its just part one of the assesment, apparently people prefer them done in their own homes (except me, I hate people in my house) and apparently its gives them a better idea of your "issues".

I need the next seven weeks to hurry up and be over so that I can sleep and relax before I lose the plot!

Can't the question be re-phrased to make it simpler?

How about asking "what isn't making you anxious?  The list would be shorter...

^ So what isn't making you anxious hun? Fire away! ;)

OT: getting a submitted paper rejected on substantial grounds 3 weeks before my job evaluation. Not that my job evaluation wasn't making me anxious/sad/lethargic already...this editor's reply just piled on the fear.

Damn Fairyland :( I'm so sorry that happened to you. I'm glad you're able to see that this guy must be going through some issues but I can imagine leaving the house was hard enough without this experience. Hard as it is (to practice) and easy as it is for me to say: please don't let this one experience impact the frequency with which you leave your house. I can totally imagine how the underlying fear became a thousand times worse but I believe in your ability to push through that fear and still put yourself out there... This was obviously an extreme situation. I can't say it won't happen again but I'm pretty certain it is highly unlikely that your fear will be reinforced like that, again, anytime soon and way more likely that you'll encounter nothing-is-going-(wr)on(g) scenarios ^_^  Still, hugs!

@Snailonvalium: hmz, not within the limited time I have until my job is up for evaluation. Yet at the same time the way in which I treat this editor's feedback may influence my supervisor's assessment of my academic competence to a considerable degree, if that makes sense? So, while I simply don't have the time to deal with the manuscript feedback itself I should be able to tango my way around it such that I come out on top (gracious, capable...like I became a better person for it? ;)). How were things with the occupational therapist yesterday? (feel free not to share if you don't want to or refer my lazy ass to your diary in case you've already covered it there )
